For the past two years I’ve been part of the team delivering the on-site technical production for home games at Salford Stadium with Sale Sharks.

My role covers a wide scope of responsibilities across the site. This includes erecting and commissioning the big screen, managing signal flow to the screen, and handling video mixing for matchday content. I’m also involved in delivering and maintaining the pitch-side PA system, the fan zone video truck and sound system, and the internal hospitality audio and video systems.

Across a typical fixture we operate in around ten different zones throughout the stadium, covering everything from large-format video and broadcast feeds to distributed audio systems, architectural uplighting, and staging.

It’s a fast-paced live environment where reliability and clear system architecture are critical — particularly when multiple content sources, control positions, and audience areas all need to work seamlessly together.
